I am a broker. I have been in the business for 26 years, I was a farmer until then, I loved farming, but the economy took it's toll, like thousands of others I had to get out. My wife and I bought a restaurant and I went into real estate. That worked fine until someone walked in and wanted to buy the restaurant, we sold it! For the past 19 years I have devoted myself to just real estate, I do not wish to do anything else. I am past president of our local real estate board, I am in Rotary, I am a Shriner, I am Chairman of the Santee Promotions Committee, I serve on a lot of local boards which helps me in real estate. Well Guess What. Christmas is almost here! Wow... How time passes when you're having fun!

Thanksgiving was fun as always this year had 26 eating at our home we cooked the turkey (fried) and the collard greens, and our friends and family brought one or two dishes each, boy what a spread! There will be more pictures on my photo page.
July 2011...Ann and I just returned from 10 days camping on Fergurson Island, we had a blast! We had different friends from time to time visit and some camped with us for short and some for longer periods. I did return for important things like 2 closings and a wedding, but most of the time just chillin'. You shoulda been here for the shrimp and crab feast or the fish fry!!
Something I'd like to talk to you about. Do you have any idea what curb appeal means when you put your home on the market? Okay try this, ride around and look at other homes for sale, which ones (be honest now) are more appealing and would draw you in to see more, the ones with overgrown weeds, leaves piled up, or, the clean raked and weeded one that leads you right to the door? It means more than you know.
Now it's time to talk about decluttering the inside. Please just remember other's (the buyers) doesn't want to see all your personal clutter, take those family photo's down, put up a cheap (or expensive your choice) picture that is relevent to your area. Please take down those animal trophies, they offend some people, and some can be turned away by them. Put them in your new home. Just for the sake of selling your property declutter and clean! Aug. 2009 Some friends and I just took a boat trip to Beaufort SC, GREAT trip!....... Well Thanksgiving is over and we are into the Christmas season, Ann and I cooked Thanksgiving on an Island and had 20 dear friends including our son and daughter-inlaw. Fried turkey, collards and all the trimmings (everyone contributed with one or more dishes). This year we did it at our home on the lake due to sickness in our group . Still had the same food and most of the same friends.
